hahahaha itis posted in the for sale section.. so is that what happend??? chewed up and spit out?????? hahahaha i understand i once was a v-6 owner. always felt like i had to defend my ride cause it was a 6
i dont speak for anyone else here, but i never "defend my ride" regardless of what engine it has. i use common sense to attack back. ****-*** GT owners (it usually only happens with GT owners, rarely ever cobra or other "specialty" mustang owners), think that theyre car is gods gift to the world, for who knows what reason... i mean the GT is slow, get over it. anyway, if you look through the timeline of the mustang, the v6 option was always there, except for those late fox years. the v6 mustang was the one that carried the mustang name through production by supporting the model line in sales to keep it in existance. when you drive the car, you represent the name of the car, and the manufacturer, not the engine size. at the end of the day, its the same car, regardless of the engine size and performance options. but instead GT owners would rather say "v6's are gay", "v6's are worthless", "why buy a v6? its not a real mustang". i say when did you decide that the size of your engine determines the authentication of your car? you say "mustangs are the best", but as soon as someone buys a v6 you look at them like theyre the scum of the earth, and others even say "go drive a camaro/honda/some other pos instead".

lets look at it from the other end of the spectrum. when you see a civic drive down the street, if its not an SI, you dont say "oh thats not a civic, its just a pos". you acknowledge the car for the name of it, not what is under the hood. you dont see a 3rd generation camaro coming at you from the other direction half a mile away and say "thats not a real camaro, its not a v8". why? because you view the car equally regardless of what engine it has in it. and since when does the car automatically change in authentication once you realize what engine it has?

good post..i agree with everything you said...i for one don't ever knock v6 stangs mainly cause, 1. i owned one 2. its a mustang...the only v6ers deemed worthy of a little making fun of are either riced out(same goes for GT's,Mach,(rarely ever cobras)or are sporting "GT" badges when they aren't.

Just because a guy says he owns an "SRT-4", that doesn't change the fact that it's still a neon, or in the case of the Evo VIII, it's still based off of the old Mitsubishi Mirage.

I guess i need to just bust out the all time grocery getter that is still, with little modification,a stang/vette/supra ttdestroyer, the 1997 Mazda Cosmo. Stock @ 280hp 6500rpm, 1.9L, or with Mazda's prepped engine option 450hp @ 8500rpm, N/A by the way, still 1.9L of displacement, with a redline of 13k rpm due to the laws of physics not allowing the oil to move through the engine fast enough. I think that there is a pretty displacement replacement, and a Mustang GT owner has that very engine swapped into his 01 GT with a T-5.
