Default Help Engine start problems

Once again im calling on the mustang gods to answer my questions!!! ok so when i go to start my stang it trys to start but sputters then dies[:@]....ill turn the key again and it will sputter for a sec then start. this problem started bout the first cold morning we had in utah. if im driving around all day and turn it of and start again its just fine just when it sits for bout 5hrs or more is when the starting issue appears, I do have a C&L intake, and Magna flow duels, and a tune from Babachips. i did the tune months ago so i dont think thats the issue. Im afraid to take it to the dealer cause i dont want then to blame anything on my upgrades and void my warrenty. i put in some water remover and injector cleaner today so ill run the tank of gas through and thenmaybe if it dont help ill revert the tune and install the factory airbox then take it to the dealer .......so unless you guys can help????????

omfg its so beutiful..how u gona screw it up??? but as far as i can see, just try it when the injector fluids clean through the tank..but if cold start is the problem..it might be sumthin wrong with ur starter/alternator...

btw..how old are u? and is that a gt? arent they prety expensive?

my guess is your getting turbulance with the C&L intake. throw the stock intake/MAF back in there and see if it starts up. if it does then it's definatly turbulance causing a bad MAF signal. easy fix. add about 5-10 inches of extra tubing between the filter and MAF. this will move any turbulance away from the MAF. you will still have turbulance but not at the MAF. it may still stumble a tad here and there also but it should be alot better

Are you letting the fuel pump prime itself before you turn the ignition to crank it? When you turn the car off and let it sit for a few hours, the pressure in your fuel line is bled off.

Next time the car has been sitting for a few hours after driving it, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the 'On' position(all dash lights on) (don't crank it yet) you'll hear your fuel pump prime. When it shuts off (two seconds) it should start with no problem.

When I get in my car I will put the key to the On position while I put my seatbelt on. By the time my belt is buckled, teh car is ready to crank.

pumping the gas with the motor off does nothing on a fuel injected car...all your doing is opening and closing the throttle body by doing that...it does no harm nor good.

Most cars now won' start if the pedal is down, it's a safety feature. I've heard of people from warm climates having issues when they go to much colder climates due to something happening to the fuel, some kind of cold weather additive. I've mainly heard of it in diesels though.

+1 that trick (pumping the pedal) only works on a carbed car..not fuel injected.

OK WELL I ADDED FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER AND WATER REMOVER AND RAN IT FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND LET THE PUMP PRIME BEFORE I TRY TO START IT BUT THE ISSUE STILL REMAINS, I GUESS ILL HAVE TO HAVE MY FACTOR AIR BOX SETUP SENT FROM HOME WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, REVERT THE TUNE AND TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, IM THINKING MAYBE IT COULD BE THE PUMP IT SELF, THE THING THATS CONFUSING ME IS THAT IT RUNS GREAT ONCE IT STARTS, IM PETTY SURE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FUEL DELIVERY AND AS RyansQuick6SAID ABOUT THE COLDER CLIMATE THING I DID JUST MOVE FROMNORTHERN UTAH TOSOUTHERNEW MEXICO, AND THE PROBLEM DID START WHEN UTAH TURNED COLD. I HATE HAVING THE FEELING THAT MY CAR MIGHT NOT START..........
