Default Dry Nitrous

Im still in the process of putting on my windstar intake and i hvae a couple more months until the car has insurance on it again. I wanted to get a dry nitrous kit on this baby, something very small. I was thinking possibly a dry nitrous kit for a motorcycle. I only want a 50 shot and a bottle that is less than 2lbs. The plan is to hide it inside of my subwoofer box or somewhere very sneaky lol. Would a dry nitrous kit form a motorcycle work for my 02 sixer and what else would need to be done to run a dry 50 shot safely?

Anything can work, but wet is safer.

AMEN

wet shot is much safer.

why hide it???

who cares???

do you want to misrepresent your car???

just do a wet 75-100 kit and be done with it.

a dry 50 kit will most likely toast your pistons. don't do it. stock 3.8's are leaned out stock as it is with the stock tune.

wet or go home crying

When you're only talking about 50-75hp, wet is not even necessary. Your fuel injectors can supply plenty of fuel to cover the juice. Buy a full kit but get it with a 5lb bottle. I have 2 of them, they're small and easier to hide than you might think.

And if you have a good tune, you won't cause any severe damage, unless you get retarded with it. Just ask around and the few guys that did it wrong can tell you what it cost them lol.

Get a full kit with an MSD rpm controller, just in case you over-rev or miss a shift, it will cut the nitrous off at a preset rpm to prevent damage.

I've been running a 100 wet shot on my motor for over a year and a half now and haven't had any problems. As said in a previous post, just get a good tune and you shouldn't have any problems.

Cobra, i want dry because it seems more simple and i want a small bottleto hide it because its illegal where im from and yes i do intend to also use it on the street. So if i get pulled over there isnt a BIG *** bottle sitting in my trunk. This is why i cant just be done with it.

A 3k rpm redline? thats waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too low. You can go to 6k on the MSD controller. I've hooked up 150 dry shots on bigger engines with no issues. All of my knowledge along with others shows me that for a DD a 75hp dry shot is safe for normal use. When you get into wet kits you have to worry about that extra solenoid pumping out the fuel every time. If you nitrous solenoid fails, then you just don't get an juice, if the fuel solenoid fails, then you lean out and go boom.
