Has anyone...
.. ever gone through Need-4-Speed.com? http://need-4-speed.com/V6%20Performance%20Corner.htm
I was thinking about having them work on my heads.

I havnt yet but it looks like their stroker kit is $100 dollars more expensive than Supersixmotorsports.com unless SSM has changed their pricing.
SSM uses long rods too for less piston skirt pressure.

The prices dont seem to be way higher than normal.
As for their porting I would ask them about how they port it, the average time spent with each head, if they do bowl work, do their take responsibility if it cracks and most importantly what the stock CFM is from .100-.500 and then what their advertised results are and if they flow test each head they release. You should also ask them about the velocity of the airflow.
CNC ported heads are more expensive but the best way to go for consistancy.
A 5 axis CNC opperation is prefered and of course more expensive.
Livernoise has a 5 axis and you can ask them to set up a program for you for porting. You are going to pay their shop hourly rate their for the programing of the CNC program and then you are going to pay again for the shop rate to port the heads.
To give you an example, a stationary lathe here in Springfield is charging me $60 per hour for CNC porting. They havnt given me an estimate for the CNC programing yet.
I would call around and try to find a shop with a lathe to do the job.
For hand porting I would go with SSM again because he has done A LOT!
