Default SCT vs SCT

Alright so, I am trying to decide which SCT product would be best for what I am about to do. I am soon to convert my 1999 3.8 auto to a 4.2 and many, many more upgrades and eventually force induct my mustang. The products I am trying to find the best in is the Xcal2 and the SF3. I don't really get the difference between the programmer and a flash device besides I think a programmer you can do more with. Here are the links and thanks for everything!

Thanks again!

Well, I can get the sf3 for 100 thru a friend but, if my guesses are correct, the xcal is for actual programming and the flash is like just a set of tunes but both can adjust settings and whatnot. if thats the case, im going to need the xcal2. cool. thanks. later.

I'm using the SCT Livewire... Love it lots

I have (obviously lol) an '04 3.9L 238 V6... and the SCT Livewire really woke up my car - it allows you change your tune in like 5 minutes when you know exactly what needs to be changed... God, I sound like a sales rep...

It's a little pricey, but well worth it (mine was free though lol - God bless sponsorships)

please if you put a 4.2 and many other mods on your car please please dont just rely on the tuner...put the car on a dyno and get it done right....nearly everyone here can tell you that i have plenty of experience with just relyin on the tuner and screwin my car up

You don't need a dyno unless you have some big mods: turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous, cams, those type mods.

If you order an Xcal get it from VMP TUNING, justin can write you a custom tune file for your car
