Default well im gettin a stang

well i turn 16 in 1 month and im buying a stang. theres a local one for sale its a 1994 3.8L its red with headlights and tails already and it has 17" wheels, tinted windows and magnaflow exhaust, what should i do with it ? i already had 1 project truck 88 ranger iv lifted and made it my own, so for this stang i cant have a body kit (bad roads) i live in a small town.
this is what i have so far planned

cold air
racing stripes
new mirrors
and....new tint(it only has 35% all the way around right now so i want 20 or so)
and.. thats all i can think of at the moment

what else should i do for upgrades maybe 2" lowering kit ?

i want a performance chip for it but i havnt seen much for them, do those $50 ebay ones make a diffrence ? what else is there for this car without swapping to a 5.0 or supercharging

is there louvers for this model ? and post your pics of custom interrior so i can get sum ideas
i have a 12" alpine type r but i dont no what to build for a box. and im thinking maybe racing seats and some other interrior upgrades.

so what do you think i should do ?

Use the search feature....but anyways you can do a lot of things. There are performance chips that you can get but dont get ebay ones. I'd suggest getting a handheld tuner like a diablosport or xcal2. Just search around and you'll find stuff just chekc out the vendors on the main page.

Well if you are saying a body kit is a bad idea due to the roads, a 2" drop is probably just as bad cause your car might bottem out and rip off your Flows...and just so you know, you better find a custom box for your 12" Type R cause I had trouble fitting my 10" Sony Xplod in my trunk. Unless you can build an enclosure in your trunk

I have a 12" Diamond Audio but my old box was like 1" to big and it would not fit. Just get a sealed box. I sounds great to me

if you are getting an intake, get an exhaust too, a nice dual system will sound and look nice, give ya a few hp...id suggest new shocks with the springs, or you could blow your stock ones.

well its already got exhaust, and yeah a 2" drop probly wouldnt be the best around here. and i have my type r in a decent size box that should fit but i want to make a new one anyways to fit the trunk maybe fiberglass ? i definatly want a chip tho my friend has a performance jet chip ( i think thats what it is) and he loves it he said it was a big improvement. what is the best chip for the price??? and what all can i do for exterior without body kit or dropping it ? i gess a new hood possablie.

Well if you want a box that matches all the Type-R requirements its almost like a 80% chance that it wont fit..especially if its a vented box. But a lot of people say they dont like the chips and recommend going with a dyno tune. As far as exterior modes, you could always change to a GT bumper, billet grill, hood, different rims, or a lot of people like the chin spoiler in the front

ok well a ported type r takes 2.5-3 cubic feet for a ported box to really pound with it and i bleave there is room if i make a custom box but thats no biggie. it already has billet grill and rims and when you say chin spoiler do you mean like the body kit for the front ? i think a hood would be a good upgrade though.

Spinners on a mustang?.....If you had a gorgeous girlfriend would you punch her in the face? Thats what your wanting to do to your mustang lol. I had 2 15" Alpine Type R's in the trunk of a 00' Convertible, If your going with 1 12" you can get almost any box you want as long as its not more than about 11 inches in height...If you go ported, you better cut a hole in the back dash also because it will sound like a$$, if your going subs with that small of a trunk, deffinitly go sealed, i'd get another 12" while your at it, but if not power that 1 sub alone with like 1200 Watts and you will be slammin...for 1 sub at least.
