question about 2.3L diff
does the2.3liter have a 9 inch differential ? or what size is it ?

& what are all the years of a t-bird torbo coupe, i can use the turbo for a 89 2.3 liter lx ????

Ah, how simple it would have been to make the rear floorpan a little higher and equip each and every Mustang ever built with the 9"! Even Chevy guys know there's no better diff on the planet!

If you're wanting one, you can get one cut and built to fit under your car from Currie Enterprises and many other companies, complete to the spring perches and other details in any gear you want. All it takes is $$$. Just check the back of your rod magazines...

If you've got a 7.5" and can't afford an 8.8" swap, you can get by for a long time by beefing it up with quality bearings, better gears, synthetic fluid, a locker, etc. Think about this: GM put thousands of their own 7.5" diffs in Camaros, TransAms, big cars, little cars, trucks, vans, anything that had wheels. Don't let yourself feel at a disadvantage--until you're pushing 300hp out of your 2.3, that is.
