Default headers

hey, i've got a 1996 w/ stock headers, a y pipe, and '99 magnaflow dual exhaust. If i were to get some longtubes, can they bolt up to my y pipe? Also, do they turn the check engine light on and how come?

No.
Depends.
Longtubes delete your cats, thus giving you a check engine light without a tuner to turn off the rear O2 sensorsor MIL eliminators. You will also need O2 extentions for the front O2 sensors.

Yes they will delete your stock cats. You can buy a catted mid pipe, or an o/r one and have cats welded into it.

You dual it out after the Y. Next to pointless because you still have the bottle neck of the Y.

Dual exhaust w/Y pipe = not true dual.
