you may have put the muffler on backwards?
i had cherry bombs on an old tracker i had.. wanted to gain back some back pressure so i just dropped the pipe after the cherry bomb down a half inch.. quieted it down some too.

if u used too big of a pipe, that could be it. use 2.25" for the pipes, or 2.5" if u are gonna go f/i later

1st it takes alittle while for the ECU to "learn" the new airflow of the engine and adjust it's tuning to it.

secondly you gain alittle more power on top and no gain down low. no loss either but the gain up high does 2 things. makes the car feel weaker down low and it flattens out the torque curve alittle which makes it feel alittle more lethargic when in reality you really haven't lost anything. it might take a few weeks of driving for the ECU to adjust to the increased air flow of the engine.

d*mn, cobra beat me to it. yeah, when you go with bigger pipes, it kinda shifts your power curve up top a little more.

thx, i learned something too, i used to have an import *pukes* so u wanted bigger piping for boost, but ud lose power until u put the turbo in it. in other words, i have no idea about that stuff when it comes to american muscle, but hey, im learning =]
