I am looking to do a stocker motor on my 3.8.I am leaving all the insides stock,From what i am told i can just put in a 4.2 crank and be done with it.

I need a 4.2 Crank!!! pm me prices if u have one because ther is not a place around here that has one

I didnt see any on ebay and i couldnt find it on supersixmotorsports

 

Get the short block form and f150 and do the swap.

Why are you doing the 4.2L and leaving everything else stock (curious)

 

because i cant have my car a down for more then 1 or 2 hours.For right now anyways i might do a full swap later

 

Its going to be down days longer if you do it any other way.

 

I dont understand why it has to go to the shop.I was told that it is the same motor pretty much just bigger bore and deeper stroke.

 

Are you going to bore it out yourself?

 

I just wanted to change out the crank but every post i have found across the internet doesnt day anythign besides "they are the same motor" If that were so why couldnt i bring over the crank and just get the deeper stroke.

 

Just doesn't work.
