What kind of HP ant FT LBS are we looking at if you stroke your stock 3.8 to a 4.2?

The '97 4.2L out of the F150 made roughly the same hp levels as the 5.0L. It was rated the highest from the factory out of all the 4.2L motors Ford kicked out for the trucks.
My 4.2L with just heads/intakes portedand a mild cam made 247/256 to the wheels.

but the real question is lilroush can u just add the carnk and make the stock insides of a 01 a stroker?I have looked and looked but all i have seen is the ones were they use the 4.2 block and pull over there the 3.8 stuff

Just the 4.2L crank will work, but you need the 01-04 oil pan to clear it.

I think it was 220 versus the 200-210 other vairous years made.
Tq was between 240-260 within the variations Ford kicked out.

yea i have a 01 so just the crank.I have been see somethign about the pistons hitting the heads if i just do crank do u know anything about this happing?

Nope. The crank pulls them down in the cylinder further, not push them out further.

so the crank change be changed with the motor still in the car rigth from under it drop oilpan and what not the only hard part would be the timing

You'd have to drop the K member and oil pan. Much easier to do with the motor out. But that is just me.
