Need help indentifying part

Default Need help indentifying part

I recently got into an accident and this metal bar under my hood was bent and i cannot find out what it is called to search for a new one. it is the bent piece of metal in the pics so if someone could lmk what it is called and where i may be able to find a replacement one. Thanks

metal or plastic??? your hood close? does it effect anything. If not then leave it, will cost too much

If its the plastic piece you can get them on ebay for $60 shipped. and they fit fine I just put one on my friends car.

no its the actual metal bar that is there. but if i buy a plastic part to replace it would that work?? i think that plastic part attaches to the metal bar. and yes the hood will close but the latch was attached to that bar so the hood wont latch shut unless i replace that bar

mmm, nah, if the oe part is metal, i wouldnt put something plastic in its place, especially if it is some kind of brace. i might go to a local junkyard, and see if they will sell you one, and swap it out...that way, you wont have to wait for it, or get the wrong part by mistake. good luck.

If it is the header panel, OEM is PLASTIC. You basically have to dismantle the front end of the car to replace it and if it has slotted bolt holes for alignment. If you align it incorrectly your headlights will be outta whack and you may not have enough adjustment on them to realign them.

no it is not the header panel it is whats like underneath the header panel. i will try to find a better picture or ill just go out and take a picture of my own car and post it up. ill go do that now

That's the header panel. If it's above that, it's the radiator brace and I believe it's Welded to the car. Below like #4 then it's the impact bar.
