You would still need bearings, a crush sleeve, pinion nut, and shims.

get a T-lok from www.gefracing.com

you will also need a richmond gear install kit part #RMG-8310451 from http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h.asp&x=18&y=8

for $350 you can have everything you need for the install. good find on the gears get them. it is a great price

so i would still need bearings, a crush sleeve, pinion nut, shims, t lock, and a install kit. How much would all of this stuff cost bc im definetly on a limited budget. Would it be 350 for the install kit include all this stuff. 4.10 ratio wont kill gas mileage on the highway either would it.

I just did exactly what you are considering this week on my wife's 2004 V-6. A brand new Trac Lok 7.5" differential from gefracing was $169.00, a brand new set of FRPP 4.10s was $195.95. The FRPP set included pinion shims, a crush sleeve, and a pinion nut. the final cost of all this including shipping by UPS Ground at $29.71 was $394.66. Cobra232 is right on in recommending gefracing, as I found them to be an excellent source for these parts.

I paid $280.00 to have all of this installed, with the shop supplying new carrier bearings and of course the expertise to do the setup correctly the first time. If the gears you are considering buying from here on the site are in good shape, they are probably worth the $75 obo asking price, with a Richmond Gear install kit from Summit running about another $100.00 shipped. Since that brings the total for the gears to about $175, I don't feel too bad about having paid about $200.00 for a brand set set.

Also be aware that you will have to adjust the speedometer after the installation. FYI my wife's car was off about 20 mph at 70. If This can be done with a "SpeedCal" device ($), or with one of the aftermarket flash tuners such as a Diablo Predator or Superchips Max Moicrotuner ($$$). We already had a Superchips tuner for my wife's car so the adjustment was taken of.

Most important.....the performance factor. You will like the improvement very much!

ya i know the performance would be great but i dont think im going to get them bc i drive a lot on the highway and that will destroy my gas mileage. thanks for all the info... but i dont think 410's are the way to go for me maybe some 373 or something
