My old lady has a 2000 V6 (manual). For some reason the clutch rattles. it's annoying. It's real rough too. It's almost as if something is loose. I been told that there might be some slack in the clutch cable? anyone know what the problem might be and how i can fix it?

dont know take it to a transmission shop have them run some test

 

Does the clutch pedal shake? You might have the dreaded "death rattle".

 

I had that exact same problem on my little ranger and it turns out it was a bad throw out bearing!

 

Start saving, its not a good sign, but its worth bringing it to a shop to see if you can delay, save it for a while.
