What do you mean how much do you need? Did you mean how much are you gona pay?? If that tis about 80-100 bucks for a take off and maybe another 50-80 for a shop to weld it in.

I bought mine for $60 used in decent condition from some kid. Polished it up. Bought this from American muscle: http://www.americanmuscle.com/v6duexadkit1.htmlbut if you cant find one for your 98, as they said just have the shop make you one might be around $100 for that, then welding shouldnt be more then $60. so overall if you can get a nice deal on a gt cat back your looking at about $200-250ish give or take.

you need everything from the gts hpipe (not including the hpipe) back. so the connector from the hpipe to the muffler, the muffler, the over the axle pipes, and the tips. i guess you dont really NEED the tips but youll want them. you will also need hangers for the passenger side exhaust. you can buy them at americanmuscle.com, you can pull them off of a gt in a junkyard, or you can just have the shop custom fab some up for you. after you get all of that take it to a shop and just have them weld pipe from your cats to the start of the gt pipe. it shouldnt cost you much at all.

in all its two pieces.

the stock H pipe, and the catback. However, you wont get the catbackoffthe car if its on the ground w/out cutting it in half. you will need to lift the car up off the ground to angle the catback out (since it is just one piece). good luck

get an H-pipe adapter from www.americanmuscle.com (site sponsor). that will be right around $100 shipped.

to have that installed and the catback system, it was $125.

i dont know where these guys are getting $60 install from. usually from the time they get it on the lift, and back off, its usually done in about an hour and a half. and i havnt seen a place that charges less than $80/hr around here. mine was done in about an 1:15, and i was told that most of that time was just figuring out where they were going to mount the passenger side hangers. the rest is a pretty simple job.
