Default Questions

I just purchased a 1999 v6 coupe and I have a couple of questions. When the engine is running I can hear a ticking noise coming from what sounds like the passenger side. What could be the issue? Also I have been looking for parts such as a CAI and the pics I have seen for the MAF don't match with what is under my hood. Is it enclosed inside the intake tube? If I buy a aftermarket intake , how do I connect the MAF? or do I need to buy a replacement with it? Sometimes when I bring the car to stop, it feels like something might be shifting back and forth. Isit the brakes or something else?I'm new to this type of setup so I'm kind of lost since don't have a manual or anything. This car has 107,000 + miles on it and unfortunately no maintenance records. Where is a good place to get heater vents? One last question, what is supposed to be under the radio in front of the shifter? there is a cd holder or something sitting there that is not attached and does not look like it belongs. Any help is greatly appreciated

The ticking could be a exhaust leak , and yes the MAF is inside the plastic case behind the air filter.
