Clanking Noise...Need some help.
Hey guys been a while since I have posted here so here I go. I am hearing a clanking noise that appears to be coming from the left rear, now there is no vibration while driving or stoping and it will not always happen. The main time I hear the noise is when I am accelerating and slowing down but if I just let the car coast I don't hear it at all. I have been told it could be the differental but if it was that I am sure I would hear it in both sides and not just the left, and I have also been told that it could be a wheel bearing but then I would likely hear it all the time and have a vibration. I am at a lost here and would like to get it fixed sometime. Thanks in advance guys and hopefully someone could help me out.
PS: It gets louder while breaking if that help the diagnosis.
Thanks guys!

Hmm what exactly do you mean by a clanking noise? Just metal hitting metal or like a pop? Does it increase with rpm? Is it a constant noise or something that just happens once?
Well like a said I only notice it when accelerating and deccelerating, but yes it does seem to increase with rpms but when I deccelerate it seems to get louder. And yes it does sound like metal hitting metal and sometimes it will do it for a whole day but then might not do it the next. Really strange [&:]
