Got a HUGE problem
Hey guys,
I have the BIGGEST dilema ever. I just bought my first mustang, 2005 V6 (parents said I didn't need a GT
) Anyway, the financial guy sold me an extended warranty on the mustang, and it won't expire for like, three more years, and I want to add some performance parts, but I know that if I do that, it will void the warranty.
What should I do? I really want my V6 to be all it can be, but I also know that if I do add anything and void the warranty, then something is bound to happen! Any help would be awesome!!!!

I had the same problem to think about a little over a year ago and chose to do what makes me happy. And that was to add the performance parts i liked for to do for car that wouldnt kill the warrenty such as tncruiser suggested. If your not completely satified, with care and often oil changes, non constant beating the **** out of the car add those mods that will destroy the warrenty aslong as your sure thats what you really want to do to make your pony a lil better. As i said if you treat it well its going to treat you well back so you wont have those huge problems kill you. But thats only my oppinion so its totally up to you and your parents. My mother tried to force me to not do stuff to my car but i basically ignored that part. My father was all about the whole upgrades so you know who won that battle.
Best of luck bud.

Appearance mods are okay, and you can do things like exhaust or other bolt -ons that are easy to put back if needed. Otherwise, just hope that nothing happens to your car and you don't need to use the warranty after all! My warranty has about a year left, but I said f*ck it, and started doing a few more of the bolt-on mods.
i am having the same problem, but mines a 2002 6er only mod i wanna do is exhaust but it will void the warranty,
im thinking of getting he warranty taken off and get my money back i only bought my car like a month ago and the car lot said if i wanted to it would be ok... my car only has 40,000 KM on it so it should be fine... key word, SHOULD BE lol.....

Aftermarket warranties are bs. My tranny went out and they voided it for me putting 18's on my car. Aside from all the other stuff I had done, they had a hidden clause that basically said anything other than stock on any part of the car voids the warranty. Unfortunately a lwyer and time would cost more than the repairs and cost of the bs warranty, so I had it fixed and all they paid was $300 ona $1200 bill. The warranty was $1300 and supposedly unlimited mileage for 3 years. The tranny went out 3 months after I bought the car and it literally exploded. I sheared my input, output, and countershaft, along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear, and destroyed the shift forks.
They didn't even notice the long tubes, billett aluminum flywheel, stage 2 clutch or 8.8 rear end, but jumped all over the wheels and springs and voided it for that.
