Default rough ride

I have a 1994 3.8L convertible with 101,000 miles. Everytime I go over the slightest road crack, bump, etc. , it feels like my suspension is bottoming out and just a generally rough ride. It's ok for normal highway driving. Is this normal for the 94 convertible? Is there a way to for me to do a simple check to see if I need new shocks?

Default RE: rough ride

Definately NOT normal. If I had to guess, I would say the struts/shocks are shot. When mine got worn on my 94 I'd bottom out on little speed bumps etc. I dont know how to check it yourself, but any tire/brake store will look at it for you. You dont have to buy the stuff from them, but they should tell you whats wrong.
