i have a 96 v6 auto not that i never need it for real but my e brake dont work for real i could be crusing at 45 rip it up and it would barely slow me down all the brakes are good on the car that what the last person told me and i replaced them all ant other suggestions?

i was told the wiring thats linked to it has to be tightened but i dont know how to do it

Same here.. I only use it when I Tokio drift though so it's all good.

It's common for the e-break to be on the weak side. If you remove the center council, it should be as simple as lostening a skrew and tightening up the cable.

It's normal, it isn't a racing e-brake setup that will lock the rear wheels up.

I tightened mine when i first bought my car, 2 clicks and the wheelsdon't move.

The stock setup is only meant for use when the cars parked..Youll have no ebrake at all after a while if you try to pull it while driving

lol That wouldn't be the best idea.

The e-brake isn't meant to be used as your primary braking system. I only use mine when I am parking the car. I don't leave mine in gear I just pull the e-brake. My aunt thought it would be funny to put my car into gear one time...[:@]I nearly had to buy a new bumper when I let out on the clutch and the car flew forward almost shattering the bumper on her Durango's hitch.
