ok so i posted on post before about a cam and my question was never really answered, everyone just started talkin to eachother bout other stuff lol.. but thats ok.... but i want to ask about a cam cause im thinkin bout gettin one.. what exactly should i look for when i get a cam.. like any extra components or does everthing come with the cam when you get it for installation?? and what kinda performance upgrade can i expect from a cam??

 

cams are a last mod to do, they wont see nearly as much gains if you are nearly stock... im not too familiar but all i know a cam is just to regulate the air:fuel ratio and gives you a deeper sound... sorry cant be of more help just saw 0 replies lol

 

A cam is a good thing to do. there are different types of cams. The kind you want depends on your mods. If you're getting a cam think about getting roller rockers and porting out your heads and intakes. In addition to buying the cam you'll also need new valve springs- $150 and retainers- $50.

 

get a tune before vcs calls you a freaking idiot

alright thanks.. but i do have some mods.. the mods i have arent enough though??

 

and if anyone can, tell out a list of probably the best things to buy along with the cam AFTER the tune.. that ones for you vcs!

 

Don't you mean things to buy BEFORE the TUNE?

 

depending on the size of the cam.

longtubes would be a good mod that would help the cam breath better.

if your an auto a nice stall would also help.

if u plan on modding that much id invest in a good set of heads, if not at least port you stock heads

umm before and after?? anything that you advise ill consider.. but im just lookin at a cam to get so anything on that will be great
