Just bought a 2000 3.8l and the first thing I am going to do is add an exaust and I am wondering which would be better, havin it dumped or havin a set of duals fabed up. Im pretty sure i am goin with flomasters.

 

If you get it dumped, be prepared for alot of noise inside the ride![:'(] I'd get the exhaust fabbed up at a shop over the axle and call it a day. As for flowmasters, I'm not a fan at all, but I hear the 40's series are good, or the force mufflers. Do a search, most will agree the force are the same sound wise, and half the price. GL

 

Yeah im not to worried about it being loud, thats really what I wany.

 

Trust me, I've had dumped exhaust before on a v8 (73 cuda), you will like it for a little while, but the novelty will wear off QUICK! I only lasted two weeks dumped, went to the shop and had em finish over the axle. It is cheaper to get dumped (before axle) so try that first, if you like it your good, if not, you still have the option to get over the axle to tips.

 

IMO id get it fabbed.... i lasted about a month with my exhaust dumped on my camaro

 

mine is still dumped and it has been several months i dont mind it at all
i know several people in my club have dumps and have had it for awhile
its not too bad inside

 

You could have it exit the profile of the car and keep it legal. There's a crazy idea.
