Default Power Problem.

I'mnew to mustangs and I just bought a '95 3.8 V6. She isn't putting out any power though. I'm really slow coming off the line andas my brother says, she "chugs" when she first starts up. Anyone have an idea of what it might be? I tried changing all the fluids and filters but it didnt help much.
Also I'm looking for a good exhaust (thinking about putting a glasspack on it) if anyone has one they want to part outlet me know.

Thanks

The issue is it's a single port V6. That is just how they are: slow. Mods will fix that for you, if you want more.

Avoid a glasspack. Look for a dual cat back. Don't spend more than a couple hundred on it.

Split port swap & supercharge it!

yep, that car isnt too fast stock. a full tuneup might help...plugs, cables, maybe the coil. add a K&n, give you a lil better throttle response, go from there.

damn. guess i just got a bad year sounds like. haha.
full tune up coming this weekend before i head to memphis and then hopefully new exhaust when i get back.
see the deal is, she's my daily and i dont want something that willl kill me on gas. (gas prices here = [:'(])
i'm just more concerned with the stress it's putting on my engine. smelled my exhaust yesterday and it smells like straight up gas. thanks for the advice. keep it coming

sounds like you might be running rich, idk if o2 sensors would fix it on the OBI but you could try, CEL?
