Default V6 question

i have a friend with a V6 and i didnt know how to answer him so i thouhgti would bring his question here...

he has an 04 V6 what kind of rear end to they come with? limited slip? one tire fire?

I told him just buy a GT's rear end and put gear in it and forget about it but i wouldnt know if that would bolt up to his driveshaft and what not so i thought i would see what rear end he has and we can see where to go from there, thanks

one tire fire. go with 3.73 gears if 5-speed and 4.10s if auto. also go with an Auburn posi and start the dual smokies.

3.08 gears in an 04 5speed???
yes, those are lower or higher however you wanna look at it because the 5 speed has 5 gears and a bigger 1st gear ratio of 3.35:1 compared to the auto with 4 gears and a 1st gear with a 2.74:1 ratio. So Ford but the 3.27's in the auto's to try and compensate (sp?) for this. Make sense?
