the 96-98 gt's are slow a v6 from that time fram with a exhaust and a intake and a tuned engine could more than likely take out those gt's.
NPI GTs are slow but not that slow. A single-port V6 or even the newer V6s(in the New Edges) with an intake and exhaust will still get raped by a NPI GT.

Insurance is about the same between a V6 and a V8(especially since his is older) so your argument was weak. I think he's an ******* for talking to you like that but at the same time don't try to justify your purchase because I think it was a terrible idea.

2.niether of you have fast cars. fast is running the 1/4 in 5.000 seconds flat. youll notice that there isnt 1 car on this forum thats capable of that if there is then more power to you ive yet to meet you.
3.if your friends ride is stock then youll be able to take him out unless your drivin an auto and hes standard his gt will put up a bit of a fight but you should be capable of doing it.
4.if your asking for agruemenative advice you should know that most of the people that read the v6 section are either
A.GT owners
B.newb v6 owners
C.are just b.s.ing you
and with that being said im not flaming anybody.

(random)
p.s. the nitrous kit gets installed on the stealth this weekend folks.

Insurance varies with driver - so it could go either way on that.Saying a V6 purchase was a terrible idea is just our opinion - and not true at all. A V6 can be the right purchase for some.

And a mild mod split port V6 will beat an auto non PI V8. So be careful when using the "RAPE" term. And the S197 4.0L cars will out run the fox 5.0L.

I thought I was the only one who caught onto the 5.000 1/4 mile time....

Besides, with the mods you have listed and IF you are 5-spd and he has a stock auto, it would be a close race.....maybe.

since you do not own a 98 GT (yet), what class does that put you in?

By the way, the sn95 GTs will not rape a stock new edge 6,

New Edge V6-3112lbs/193hp/225tq
sn95 GT - 3278 (curb)/225hp/286tq

what really kills it is torque, but, throw some bolt ons in there and its a drivers race.
i honestly thought the 8 would make the car weight more than it does but i guess not.

sn95 engines are extremely inefficient. a 4.6L putting out 225hp(thats only in 98 too, before that it was 215)... if i were going to do a swap w/o having to mess with body parts, get the 3.0 taurus engine!

Compare apples to apples(same trans cars). People have pulled mid 14s out of a stock NPI GT(5 speed of course). Jesus driving has got what a super high 15 in a New Edge V6? Biggggggggg difference. Like I said NPIs are slow but not nearly as slow as most people think. When people think of NPIs for some reason all that pops up is some automatic comvertible with 200,000 miles owned by some Mexican ricer.

If we compare apples to apples... .we shoudl take to guys with X amount of money. One go buy a GT and mod it with left overs, one go by a V6 and mod it with left overs.... then see who is faster.
