I dont really like the idea of chopping up the termi rims, our 97' Cobra has those exact termi rims and they are awesome!.

If you want skinnies then buy some Welds x_x

To give you guys an idea of paint cost.

Maaco will do a 100% strip of your car, primer 3+ times, color 3+ times, Clear 3+ times, do the jams, re-align body parts, cook it in an over and send it out to you for $1200 dollars. Color sanding is $250 per layer for how many layers you want.

TopCraft is a great Springfield Mo body shot that cators to Exotics and anything below that.
They do everything above for $3000 but the wet sanding is included and they. Prices vary depending on car, but that was a quote for the 96'
They do however leave the original paint on the car (scuff it up and paint over) if you dont specify otherwise. 100% no orange skin.

Its extra to have them go to the metal, only a few hundred though, doesnt break $1000.
They will also do whatever custom work you want on it.

Then you have Ryans shop which is top par.

I actually flipped it off of manual just to shoot them really fast lol.

Went to the painter today, looks like the bill is gonna be in the neighborhood of $7500 to get what I want.
Good Lord, 7500!
Maybe the shops down here just like me....

Thats not too bad of a price for a full disasemble, sand to metal, primer, paint, clear, wetsand, re-align and assemble.

Most truly custom body shops cost about that much. t's gonna be a complete repaint, waaaaaaay better than factory quality, as in actually smooth. I'm also getting true fire done, either in black or actual fire, the top is getting done in black, all my emblems are being shaved, my calipers are getting painted to match along with the door inserts and dash bezel. He's also gonna paint some underhood, and even do my eaton when it comes in. He's also going to take my 17x9 termi wheels and narrow them to 17x4 so I can have some skinnies to match my 17x10.5 dr's!!!!!

This is the price for a full tear-down paint job, panel removal, glass removal, interior removal. The RIGHT way to get a fresh paint job.

I have one more shop to check with that owes me aBIG BIGfavor, it's in Houston.

The painters I'm talking to are "Best in Show" painters. I've seen lots of their work and been to many shows that their paint jobs have won.

It'll be a minimum of a month and a half before they can even touch it. but it's truly worth the wait.
Well, at least your not half-assing it. Still $7500 is ALOT. Good thing my dad's cousin owns a body shop that does good work! [8D]

I'm still not wanting to spend te$7500, that is an initial quote. Some of it will be absorbed by the insurance comapny paying for the 2 people tht hi my baby while it was parked.

I've checked around a lotand in my area, literally about 100mi radius, $5k is the average rate for a quality all over.

Once again though, i still have this huge favor looming out here that i may end up calling in. Let's just say that if the offer still stands, most of you will **** a brick when i tell youwhat I got done and how much it ended up costing me. And I mean a good brick, notan "Oh my god you spent 10k to owna florescent pink stang" brick.

Your ride looks tight. With all the work you'veput into it and if you plan on showing your car after it is done, $7500.00 is an investment if you have to look at it from the cup half full point of view. Whatever you do good luck and post pics....
