Alright guys, my custom CAI is a deffinate improvment! I bought a filter and intalled it today and took it out for a quick run and there is deffinately more power. I had to make minor improvments to make it fit. Plus, the whole thing cost me $41.00 with taxes and all. I'll be making plans as soon as I get my pictures developed to show those interested in trying to make their own how I made mine. I still have a couple more ideas as far as a heat and water sheild for added protection, but in reality its perfectly dry and fine how it's placed now. My next mod is a custom exhaust, so far I'm expecting to only have to pay about $70.00 for it. I'll keep posts and pictures of what I do.

I actually thought about doing that. But the day I had taking the stock CAI out, it was kinda wet and rainy. When I looked inside the fender well, it was all wet inside from whatever cars in front would splash up and there was a little water around the wheel wall, so I was scared to put it in there causing me to suck in water to the engine. But if you and your partner master an idea allowing the filter to stay dry and not suck water, setup a post or you can IM me at KryptonicBlow on AIM.
