savin up
so now that i have a job paying 10 bucks an hour
i now have to decide which road to take a superchager or a turbo so i need advice and from what yall say i can there start to make list of what i have to do

For the absolute most power, a turbo would be best, BUT you need to forge the rods, pistons, etc. to run higher boost without the engine eff'in up.
HOWEVER, if this is your only car, I would suggest a simpler route... the supercharger since they generally aren't as hard/time consumingto install correctly. Again if you want to take full advantageof the supercharger, forging the internals is a must.
You could run a forced induction setup without forged internalssafely at 9 psi. with the proper fuel/air inductionupgrades and a good dyno tune. I'm not an authority on this at all, so hopefully some otherswill giveup some info as well.
hint... check out www.3.8mustang.com and www.v6power.net ....they are more tech savy and informed

what he said ^^^^
ive heard 12 psi is still safe with stock internals from a few people but i dont think i would run that myself.... lol too much risk
supercharger for everyday driver, its more reliable than a turbo
turbo if its a track or street racer you can keep a turbo reliable if you take REALLY good care of it but.. i just think supercharger is better for everyday drivers

You better save alot too. 4.3 + forged internals + forced induction = easily over $5000 with installincluded. And I would not installthe crank, pistons, and rods unless I had ALOT of experience building motors. Just my 2 cents tho... good luck man.
i have some experince building motors and i have friends who know alot os im kind of set on the install part so it would cost 5,000 or more i kind of figured so now iahve to start savin up
Yes it can get very expensive very fast. I have been researching turbos and S/C and am leaning towards the S/C. I will be getting forged internals, Port & Polish, ect. It will cost quite a bit but will be worth it in the long run. I am having a mechanic do all of my work for me, I know a bit about cars, but not that much. Good luck w/ the S/C, once you dyno it post your stats.
Turbo's will make more power -
They install is gonna be basically the same if you can do one you should be able to do the other -
Both are about the same to maintain -
Both can work find for daily driving -
You don't need forged internals till around 9psi with a turbo and 12psi with a s/c or 350rwhp -
You wont take advantage of the s/c or turbo with just forged internals, being able to run more boost on stock heads,
cam, intakes, isn't a huge leap -
Yep.....
