it wouldnt hurt to get some polish/cleaner but idk if it will help that looks preatty sevear get mothers mag and alum polish that worked good on some wheels i had on my jeep
They are corroded. If you really want to, you can try to paint them, but I wouldn't. Just buy new ones and be done with it. You might end up buying new wheels some day so I would say forget about it.
From the picture, it looks as if it's just the center caps that are messed up. Try salvage yards orhub cap places and you may find a set of nice center caps. That will tide you over until you decide if you want new rims or not.
I agree with silver onyx, The caps only are damaged so get some use ones and spare the $400 for a set of wheels. If you want to clean them up, Several things can work.
[ul][*]Scotch Brite pads or Steel wool, [/ul][ul][*]wheels of the same in a drill or stationary polisher.[*]A body buffer with rubbing compond,[*]a corrosive wheel cleaner,[*]wheel paints that will match the silver.
[/ul]More specifics available.
Good luck.
