removing cats?

what would it do to my v6? would it make my flowmaster have a deeper throaty tune to it?

Yes you can remove them, and yes it will make your car alot louder. This is make sure you dont have emitions test in your state. Here is Cali we are not allowed to take the cats off as we would fail the sniff test.

I removed mine and it's alot louder. but you'll need to get MILs so your computer does read bad codes.

Its not worth it and think of the NOX that is being produced. Not to say you should go breathing exhaust but when you are in traffic thats what you do.

If you are concerned about sound and power then get high flows. But I do not recomend removing cats.

If you must, here is a soundclip of my 96' after the 2000 splitport swap with shorty headers, BBK O/R X-pipe and no mufflers.

No mufflers sounds horrible, no cats doesn't sound bad. And unless its dumped under the car or something your not going to be breathing much "exhaust".

You dont need the MIL's you can just get it tuned and it will work and plus you have a tuner then and it will also last longer MILS can go bad

My Borla's are dumped.

Also the sound quality on my clip was horrible, it was taken with a Kodak digital camera before I got my XTi, also XTi doesnt support video.
