ok this is my delemma the boosted 2.3 runs strong at half thoughtle... at full it falls on its face??? could i just be blowing out the spark plugs or is it something else??? please help!!!

 

yea...my friend had the same problem with his srt-4...it is ur spark plugs...just get new ones...simple enough...

 

I don't know much about boosting engines so don't take my word on this. But maybe your not getting enough fuel and your just leaning out. Also your not really telling us what happens. Could you be a little more specific.

 

Try getting a friend to stand begind your car when you give it full throttle and see what kind of smoke comes out of the exhaust. After it bogs see if theres and thick black smoke coming out. Is he running more boost than what came standard from the factory? If hes blowing the spark out maybe looki into buying a good MSD ignition system. You dont need anything real fancy but just beef the spark up a bit.

 

sorry about that ok this is my setup.. stock 2.3 engine, turbo pump, 12-1 fmu, new t3, small fmic and a jdm sr20 bov... runing 5-8 psi, runs better at 5 than at 8, and 8 is when it does it..

well i fixed it still running 7psi but i got new plugs colder ones, and a high power coil. it hasn't done it yet? but in 2 or so weeks my megasquirt unit will be here so yah then i can use my turbo 2.3 injectors and elimanate the fmu and the stupid stock computer.. then i think i could add another maybe 40hp from just being able to tune...

 

i hope you aleady put different gears in. i would hate to see you run the spray and leave your rearend at the launch...lol

Is megasquirt nos or some kind of high pressure fuel pump? I've never heard of it.
