Default What do I need to install shocks/struts???

I got my tokicos now. I have only that two shocks and two struts and nothing else. Does anything else need to be done when they are installed? New bolts? bushings? anything?

I thought they were supposed to come with new bolts and such. I don't really know though...

I want to do this myself as well in about a month when I get some jackstands and othertoolsfrom my family. I also need to save up the money for it instead of spending the money I am saving for school...

Do I need to get new springs? I don't want to lower the car. Do certain shocks/struts require that you get springs?

OEM springs are the best springs you can get for your car. So keep em.

Nah they don't require you lower the car. You'll be fine installing them and leaving your 'stang at the stock ride height.

Did you get the Tokico HP's (blue)?

How so? When combined with the right shocks, struts, and an alignment lowering springs will perform as good or better than the OEM spec stuff.

+1

You might want to think about some new spring isolators for both the front and the rear. The rubber stocks ones are pathetic.

That is what I'm ordering. I really want the AGX's or the Illuminas but money is very tight right now and I'm getting ready to move [&o]
