I have a 07 v6 that I installed nitrous on. I have not used it yet because I have questions and want to make sure that Ihave the car ready for it.I am hoping that some of the Exp. NOS users out there can answer this question. I have the 87 octane pred tune in it and the car is running lean, cannot get the check engine light off. Only mods I have done that would affect the Air/fuel ratio are dual exhaust andCAI. What adjustments can I make with the pred to fix the lean condition?

Do you have a wideband?

If not what makes you think your lean?

And you should be using 91/93 with nitrous.

what predator, if you take away % from the fuel table you are adding fuel. so add 5% or so and you should be ok. make sure u run 93 octane, i wouldnt spray on 91 unless i removed some extra timing.

is ur kit wet or dry?

Get a tuner and a custom tune done for the nitrous. Lean conditions will cause detonation, which leads to complete engine destruction.

I am using the U7145. the kit is the ZEX dry kit 75 shot. I know that if it is lean you need to add fuel. But with the new cars where do u add it. There are options for 2-4K WOT and 5-7K WOT, and it goes in %ages. There are also options for the MAF, that could help too if I knew which way to make the adjustments. The reason I know I am running lean is because of the codes coming from the OBD. Both banks run lean. I tried -2% WOT on both 2-4k and 5-7k and then the car ran like crap and the light still came on. The car runs really strong with the 87 tune but I just cant get the Check engine light to stay off. I will try to run on the 91 Octane tune tomorrow and will let you know the outcome. I am really getting excited to run the NOS but dont want to chance #$%^ing something up.

You should get a wideband 02 sensor.

i believe i said exactly that.... remove % from it. its counter intuitive. ur diablo manual should actually say something like "removing points from the fuel table will result in a more rich mixture" do it in any rpm range u will be spraying (the whole thing )

All, Thanks. 91 octane tune is in -3 on the fuel table and My light did not trip on my way to work this morning. Ill give it a day and see how it runs. I pick up the filled bottle today so hopefully everything works out. When I pull the plugs what condition am I looking for?
