Default When to stop?

My question is, around how many miles is it too late to begin any major engine work. ie. Supercharger, turbo, cam, nitrous, and so on. i mean, i would want to save up for a supercharger, but could my 100k miles car take it?

Do a compression test. That will tell you.

man, if you are planning on f/i, a ruilt engine is a good idea anyway. then, with a new bottom end, you dont have to worry so much about the "age" or milegae of your engine. you got fresh parts, youll be good to go. just dont forget to streghten your drivetrain with it, or that will be the next weak link.
