Coop, you need a new clutch

OP, IF you push in the clutch does the car then go into gear and move when the clutch is let out? If so then everything is normal.
Damn...
Well wut would have made it go out so fast?
I JUST boughta newone no more than 6 months ago...

A bad installation will usually cause it to go out prematurely.

Depending on the clutch, like mine was a 1200 mi break-in period. It also depends on how you drive. I had a girl come in once to the dealer with 24k on her new stang and the throw-out bearing was in pieces. She would rest her foot on the clutch pedal while driving and heated it up so bad it exploded.

+1 If you don't break in the clutch properly, it will scar the clutch disc and that's no good!

Well for me... it was not the transmission... it was the clutch. The clutch plate was so worn that the pads wore all the way down on the pressure plate side and wore out the rivets that held the other side of the pad in and all the pads fell in the bottom of the bell housing. Easy fix... $150 for a new clutch on ebay. I bought the whole car for $570... anyone want to buy it for $3,000? lol
