How much HP
I'm just curious how much hp estimated i have right now- w/ my shorty hedman headers k&n air filter w/ no silencer and just 1 super 40. I made a stupid move on not buying the summit duel kit just bought one muffler cuz i was being dump at the time and didnt think i watned to mod it that much. But what do you think ?
a whole cold air kit willl give about 2, just a filter will do about half, on chokemaster muffler, thats probably not doing much probably like 1 HP if that, and short tubes will probably give about 2-3 on a stock exhaust cause these cars pretty much have shorties from the factory
if he were to upgrade to duals with a crossover/true duals then he would see about a 8 HP gain

thanks all just wanted to see cause the guy at flowmaster was like ull see a 5% performance so stock hp 193 x's .05 is like 9.somethin so yeh lol and then the guy at the muffler shop w/ my headers said its probably pushing out 10 more since its more wide, but i thot that seemed like a lot for some basic stuff
10hp out of shorty headers? Yeah, not even close. The single flowmaster will really only give the car a little better sound, not increase performance. Your car stock will dyo at around 160rwhp.
the stock manifolds are not mandrel bent and they do not radiate heat like a header will. this is where the hp comes from. id say he could approach 10hp from the shorties alone.
EDIT
at least thats what the 3.8 camaro does, and the splitport mustang mods pretty similarly. shorties are in no way worthless and at higher rpm perform about the same as longtubes. you only sacrifice midrange and low torque as compared to what you get with LTs.

He is probably looking at <=5hp more than stock
your dyno test is wrong. shorties are in no way worthless. You also do not need boost to make them work, they scavenge just like a long tube will, just require a higher rpm to do it. do a little reading on fluid dynamics and come back
