Default Possible? Worth the effort if so?

How feasible would it be to turn the side air scoops in front of the rear tires into something that would actually help out with cooling the rear brakes?

I like the idea but never really thought about that! Anyways, if that was worth any, it would have been already done!

Braking is minimal at the rear, therefore cooling has never been an issue, other than with true RACE vehicles that are on the track for hours at a time. There are however, front cooling kits already out there, mainly since those are the ones that see the most abuse.

It's a 95. I do tend to run my car harder than I probably should. I live in the country and drive a lot of twisty roads with lots of hills. After accel/decel on these roads for an hour or more, I often stop to find my brake pads smelling a bit on the warm side.

Sn-95 GTs had functional scoops, but they're functionality is minimal at best. You can make them functional, but as stated, it's not going to help very much.

I don't even know how difficult it would be to attempt. Like I mentioned before, I have no prev exp w/ doing any mods (or even basic repair for that matter). What would this entail if I were to attempt it?

Its feasible and it shouldnt be alot of work, some slight cutting maybe even some welding and some guts to chop a hole in your car! lol but like Ryan said the front brakes are the ones that take a beating the rear is minimal.

You are better off with the front cooling kit, on cobra bumpers the foglight hole is perfect for this.. Here is a pic of the scoop if your curious, is very thin metal, this one im repairing it would be cool to try your idea at this point I guess
