Default E85

after school i drove by the gas station and saw that gas is $4.40 for regular and i just wanted to drive off the road into a ditch. Ive heard of E85 conversions and i was wondering if it was possible to convert a v6 into using it?

i know it might not have the same performance as gas but hey i really dont care, i just want it to get me from point a to b

and if it is possible how much would it cost?

i think you can just buy a conversion kit online for a few hundred bucks but im not sure. what you should do it look into making your own fuel out of veggie oil it cost about 1 dollor a gallon and time.

Alot of the big power guys in my area are going E85 on there race cars. I'm thinking of doing it with mine. They are paying less for fuel, getting more power out of it, and from what people are saying, tuning it "safely" is easier.

I saw a video on youtube that said you can run e85 in a non-flex fuel car and it will still run fine. Is this true? Do you lose anything doing that?

Due to the way it burns, you need MORE E85 than regular unleaded. You'll have to upgrade fuel pump and injectors. Then retune for it. I wouldn't go dumping it into a car just to save money. Not that safe at all.

I don't think I'll mess with my mustang, but I'm making sure that my fiance's new car will be a flexfuel car!

Im pretty sure the veggie oil deal is just for diesel engines. Willie Nelson's tour bus has been bio-diesel since the early 80's, he said the exhaust smell made him want to eat french fries. Yeah it was the exhaust that made him want fries.

E85 as i understand it gets worst fuel economy, but the price helps offset that. Also i guess if you have a motorcycle you should avoid it like the plague.

When i saw E85 my mind went right to this though
