i plan on porting my stock headers but i need to know how much i can widen the pipe before it gets to weak. im not doing this myself, i just need the info for the guy who is doing it....

Headers? As in exhaust manifolds?
Don't port those. If someone told you he was going to do that, don't trust him with your car.

yeah, exhaust manifolds.
oh i read somewhere where you could do that. so i was gona have my uncle who has a machine shop do it.

but why cant you do it?

No need to. Stock exhaust manifolds are good to over 350 hp worth of air. If an upgrade is needed, purchasing an aftermarket set is much easier and cheaper.

For the most part, porting is reserved for heads and intakes.

so you can port upper and lower intake manifolds?

Yes, I'd suggest at least gasket port matching, and match the TB to the upper as well.
But if you want to spent extra, cutting open the upper intake and grounding it out the full length of the runners will scoop up even more hp for you. The hard part is welding it back together. The lower you can fully port without cutting it due to the short length of the runners.
