Anyone know how to program the keyless entry remote yourself? I thought somebody said it could be done and I've tried to use the search but it's not working. Any help would be appreciated.

 

i wish. i have had to go to ford twice to get it done. cost me close to 100.00 each time.

 

i actually have the thing from the dealership thats printed out how to program it i have 01 mustang and it worked on mine so im almost positive it will work ill have to get it out of my car tomorrow and ill let you kno (i kno that you have to turn the key from on to the start on position 8 times and your doors will lock and unlock then you push the keyless entry, i will look on the sheet but thats from what i remember)

Ok for a 2001 mustang
- Do not press brake pedal during REmote Entry programming procedure as it will immediately exit you from that mode. Electronically unlock the vehicle prior to attempting to enter REmote Entry Programming Mode. Turn ignition frmo OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the 1st remote transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the 2nd transmitter ( up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
