Default Adjusting Throttle Cable???

I was going to adjust the cable by the pedal to get rid of the slack and I was wondering how much of a difference am I going to see?

Well buddy, put it this way, I accidently peeled out when I did mine. LOL. It's all because I wasn't use to the new position of the pedal. Remember, it doesn't add jack crap in horsepower, just tightens the throttle cable. Hence, the name throttle cable adjustment. Rock on!

You are going to 'see' the gas pedal raised and flush with the brake pedal to allow heel-toe braking. As for what you will 'feel' is the car achieve WOT faster so the car may 'feel' faster. Try going for a quarter inch to a half inch spacer. A full inch spacer will make the gas uncomfortably closer to you so driving will feel stranger since your right foot will be closer to your body most of the time IMO of trying it. In fact I took off the spacer today since I was losing fuel economy (too muchWOT on the highway) so now the car feels so slow... but then again it is [:@]

what is WOT?

And does it really hurt your fuel consumption? With the price of gas and my ****ty mileage all ready I'm not sure I'm willing to drop it anymore,... unless I win the lotto....

WOT=Wide Open Throttle or another words, the pedal, all the way down. In a sense, it does and doesn't hurt your fuel consumption. If you floor it all the time, hell yes it will but if you ride like a grandma, then you're good. Hope these posts help you Search around, there are lots of posts on this subject. Good luck!

its actually a really easy fix to do, in terms of figuring out what has to be done...but i have broad shoulders, so it was hard for me to work on it, even with the seat all the way back. really, you can figure out what needs to be done with it by looking and playing with the pedal a little bit. youll just need some real thin plastic tubing (about the diameter of a Bic pen), a utility knife to make a cut in it, and two of the smallest, smallest hose clamps you can find, and a screwdriver. measure how much tubing you want to remove the slack (which you can do by checking it yourself), cut the tubing, slip it over the throttle cable, and...the hardest part for me...tightening the hose clamps to make sure the tubing doesnt slip off the cable. i found the easiest way for me is to lie down upside down in the driver seat with the seat all the way reclined. good luck.

HOLY CRAP THAT'S A TIGHT SQUEEZE!!!! I can't fit myself under there!!! I damn near broke my back I think.... Is there a way to get the cable loose so I have more slack to play with cause it's just not working for me. I'm not even big... in fact I'm skinny.. I don't know how you guys got under there lol
