If you don't have a ported and polished upper and lower, then don't waste your money.

Agreed. It does nothing for you, without a P&P. And, a new exhuast system wouldn't hurt either :P

if go the whole ported intake route, as i did. i felt a really good gain with it. a cai, a larger tb, ported upper and lower intake manifolds, a tune to tune for the extra airflow, and if you can afford it, while opening up that side of the engine, go ahead and p&p the heads and drop in a more aggressive cam. all of that will be expensive, but they are all supporting mods if you decide you wanna add more hp in the future. good luck.

Haha, ah, sorry buddy. I didn't see your exhaust mods. I agree with song. After I get my exhaust done, I'm going to port just about everything I can. I know I'm not going to have enough cash to get a cam but if you port your throttle body, get a bigger maf, get your upper/lower intake ported, get what you need matched, I'd say you'll be doing real good. You'd feel a decent amount of power come back to you. When you get them done, post a clip. I'd love to hear it and tell about your experience. Have fun waking your pony up!

There are some great shops that frequent these forums. I think Justin with VMPtuning can hook you up. I'll let the more seasoned vets speak up. Just hang out a bit and you'll get your answer. There are some pople that you tell them what you want and they'll tell you what to get.

supersixmotorsports.com's long rod 3.8 engines look pretty damn nice with the plans i have to super charge my stang along with cam, maf, headers and the P&P, would it be more worth it to buy the 3.8 Long Rod engine from them?
