I was looking online recently and saw the screaming demon coil, and my question is, is this worth the $99?

Read the fine print, if you buy their coil you MUST buy their wires and since their coils use a different type of connector. Since their wires are10mm you will also need to get their wire seperators. All in all you're looking at ~$200 or so. Is it worth it? Probably not make a big difference on a stock motor. If you have nitrous or FI then it would probably be worth it.

 

Having to get their wires is the one reason I didnt get the coil pack...I guess its up to your budget.

accel super coil from summitracing.com ftw! i got mine with my msd wires, and opened my gap to .060...not a burp thru the rpm range, idle is smoother than before, feels a bit more responsive, and mpgs got better.

 

You don't _HAVE_ to get livewires with the SD.

 

So if i decided i wanted to get one, my JBA 9mm wires would be fine?

 

yea because i jus used sum high performance wires i got from autozone

 

I have a screamon demon coil pack and when I first put it on I used my stock wires and it worked fine. You dont need the upgraded livewires!!

 

ive got it and MSD 8.5 wires..no complaints ..able to have a little more fun in the top end instead of killin urself to get to 90 haha...i dont regret the 99...ur choice tho
