Traction Control
I got my 2000 3.8 a few weeks ago and its still a project. I noticed it has traction control button that im assuming works as it lights up. Well my car didnt come with a owners manual. Whats the purpose of the TC and when should I use it or all the time? Im guessing maybe for snow or rain?
If I'm correct when the light's on, the TC is turned off. Mine says "TC off" on the button, so pressing it is gonna turn it off. Btw, I have to press it and have the light on to do a burnout if that tells you anything.
*edit*.... IMO the TC on our cars sucks. If you spin the wheels in the rain, it'll bog you down and you lose more control over your car. If I slide/get loose in the rain I don't hit the brakes, but just drive out of it by playing with the throttle. (I have less than 1/4" of tread left tho
) Just turn it off right after you start the car and buckle up.
