im looking for a cold air intake for my 2004 i have noticed that alot of them go like 1999-2003 and they are cheaper that the 2004 ones. why is this? what would be the best for my money in my 04

 

Some of the 04's have the 3.9 engine. if you look at the sticker on your cooling fan itll say either 3.8 or 3.9 Then just order a cai accordingly

doesnt really matter if u have a 3.9 or 3.8 that CAI fits. Cuz i ordered one couple days ago and just installed it today and works perfectly. They only diffrence is 3.9L doesnt have Intake Air Tem Sensor. So what you have to do is you need to buy a plastic plug from autozone and fill that hole on the intake that is use for Intake Air Tem Sensor.

 

does that mean the 3.8 liter does have an intake temp. sensor so i wont need to fill in the whole or will i have to fill it neway

 

the black section that hold the mas air flow sensor does that need to come off the stock intake and be put on the new one????

so u got the 99-03 kit for your 04 and it works perfect except that small whole u need to fill
