I just left my car at the shop to get my gears and tlok installed ( had to walk 11 blocks back to work [:@]) and i was wondering if i need to get a tuner asap or not? And what are the +/- if i dont?

 

Well I had my 4.10 installed like a months ago together with t lok, and I love it. I didn't get the tuner yet, but it would be nice to get one asap, because my speedometer shows the differnt speed....its like +7 or 8mph than actual speed.It also limits your max speed, and I don't know if the tuner can fix that too. I'm sure you will love your gears when you are on highway with O/D OFF, it pulls really nice. Anyways, if you can, thanget a tuner right away to fix all those mistakes and get a better performance!

 

alright thanks, what kinda gas mileage difference have you noticed since your install?

 

I never really bothered to check mpg, I just fill it up when it's empty and thats all. Themore I pay attention to gas prices, my driving, mpg...the more it hurts my feelings. Ido try not to floor it all the time tho. However, youmight notice the difference but nothing big!

 

Your speedometer and odometer will be reading incorrectly until you adjust the computer for the new gearing.
If you wanted to get technical, messing with how your odometer reads is against the law.

 

eh in Washington cops dont care bout much, but it looks like i will need a tuner though.

 

Yeah man! It's not like you can't go without it or your engine's gonna go boom, but you'll definatelly need one!

 

i just got the worst news in the world. the shop just called and said they couldnt get the pinon off!!!

 

Wow, did you do any research before you took your car to that shop?

 

yeah and locals actually recommended them. They told me i had to buy a new rear end housing or they would have to cut the pinon out. I heard the words cut and i said screw it im buying the housing. Cost 265.00 more. ERRRRRGH i could kill right now.
