Default split port engine question

hey whats up guys. I am planning on swapping a split sport into my 98 mustang. i know a 99 or 00 split port is easier to swap because it does not have IMRC but how hard would it be to use a 2001-2003 split port. what would i have to do to eliminate the IMRC so that it can work with my 98 ECU.

It's just as easy to do, you just get rid of the runner controls.
