spring isolators
Absolutely ... I re-used the stock ones & ended up going back in to replace them (I thought the stock ones looked in good shape, but they were worn through on the rears & the front ones would stay in place (would make noise when the suspension bottomed out.) I lowered mine & replace the shocks/struts, but went back to replace the isolators & install c/c plates. I recommend to everyone that they do it all at once (I hate duplicating labor).
or you could just not use them i didnt use any front ones at all you will get about .25" more drop i just wrapped my springs in electrical tape really good to help (i guess it worked.....no problems yet its been quite a while now) with the rubbing i figured i would have and also if you bottom out your suspension then you should drive slower over the bumps that make it happen that will help with all that
p.s. i did use them in the rear
p.s. i did use them in the rear
I picked up both front/rear sets off eBay pretty reasonable (they're not cheap, but it's worth doing when you're going in there anyway). Energy Suspension is the way to go ... Take a look at your front sway bar bushings as well (replace them while you're there, if they're hard/cracked).
