Default clutch problem?

I have had my car since November and driven it everyday since then so I got used to how the clutch should feel, and then yesterday while I was sliding in the rain I hit the gas to soon, revved while the clutch pedal was half way down, and now the clutch doesn't feel right..

It used to be real sensitive to timing and how hard the pedals are pressed but now it feels like the gears just fall into place and I don't even have to press the gas for a smooth shift. And I don't mean perfect smooth, it feels like a huge drop in power like something disconnected.

Did I break something?? or is that just a part of driving hard?

PLEASE tell me somebody knows what happened!

Default RE: clutch problem?

Before you go any further, pull up on the clutch pedal (with your foot) all the way, then depress the clutch pedal all the way a couple times ... it's unlikely that you've got a 'lash' problem, but the auto-adjuster would take care of it if that's the problem. If that doesn't make any difference, have somebody look at it (or take it for a test drive) for a 2nd opinion.

Default RE: clutch problem?

I just had the same problem as alkuregexperianced. The problem began when I started the car this morning. Usually the Clutch is extremely stiff and difficult for me to push in as I am short, but today, it was extremely easy and just did not feel right. and it usually engages as soon as I start to let off the clutch but now doesn't engage until I completed take my foot off the clutch. I also noticed when I got to highway speeds that when I put it in 5th gear, the rpms would go up and down. Has anyone else had this problem or a resolution to it. Its in the dealership now, I will update you when I get it back.
