Welcome!!

I have the same car, but haven't looked into headers, so I don't know.

I know someone in the v6 forums will know, so I'll move that there for you. They're more likely to see it there as well.

stock exhaust manifolds are good for 300rwhp, so you dont need them. longtubes would be the only kind that would give you any kind of gain. dont waste your money on shorties.

So what is the difference between long tube headers and short tube headers, besides the obvious. I asked a couple of motor heads around here and they tell me that long tube headers give you hp while short tube give you torque. But then they added that it all depends on the rest of your setup to see if your going to get anything out of replacing the headers.

Short tube headers will add power, they will flow alot better than the stock. They would definitly give you 5 or so rwhp. Short tube mac headers would go great on the setup you have now and it will also make you car sound a lot better. I don't know why people seem to think short tubes won't add power. If you upgrade to long tube headers on an unbuilt v6 your 1/4 time will definitly go down because of the lost back pressure but you will gain top end which is great on the highway.

Thanks for the info Zach. I guess I will be going with short tubes. I also planned on getting the 40 series flowmasters with a true dual setup. I'm going to leave the cats on for back pressure. Do you think that will be enough?
